Narcissus poeticus This is a chrysanthemum that was placed in water that had some blue dye before the bloom fully opened. This was the very first shot I took with the Canon 5D MII. A daisy in the sun. Selective focus of an Dimorphotheca (African Daisy). Some refer to this as Osteospermum. Shot using a Canon 20D and an MP-E 65mm macro lens. This is the remnants of a clematis bloom (what remains after the petals have fallen off). The stamen forms a ball - almost interwoven, as it dries. This is an orchid (phalaenopsis). This was done with a a wide angle lens coupled to an extension tube, and exposed for 30 seconds in a dimly-lit room. This was taken at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, within the Conservatory of Flowers. That is a nice place to visit if you get the opportunity. A single rose. This is the center of a white clematis bloom. The crocus flowers come out in early spring - a harbinger of good things to come. This is a hoverfly in one of the many flowers we have (an African daisy, I believe). A Clematis flower from our garden. A still-life capture of a bonsai tree at Washington, D.C.'s National Arboretum. A tulip almost ready to show itself to the world. David Rogers / GreyLeaf PhotoGraphy on 500px
